Sexual Harassment Prevention Seminar
Effective January 1, 2019, all California businesses with five or more employees are required to provide their non-supervisory staff members with an annual, one-hour sexual harassment prevention training course. For many small businesses, the cost and time commitment associated with providing code-compliant training can be daunting. The Santa Clarita Bar Association will be providing a cost-effective training for members and the local business community on August 22, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at the Valencia Country Club.
Brian Koegle, from Poole & Shaffery, LLP, will be providing a one-hour training course on preventing acts of discrimination, harassment and retaliation in the workplace. The course provides a comprehensive look at California anti-harassment laws, risk and exposure for “bad actors,” as well as practical ways to avoid liability-inducing events and interactions.
All attendees will be provided with a certificate of completion, confirming their attendance, and breakfast is included.
