Open Position: Paralegal 

Poole Shaffery seeks to hire a litigation paralegal to join our Newport Beach office for a full time in office position. Ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in the defense of personal injury claims in the areas of Transportation, Premises liability, and Product Liability matters.  Responsibilities include filing and service of electronic court filings; subpoenaing and summarizing medical and employment records; court docket search; assist in drafting and responding to written discovery requests; organizing depositions and court appearances; assist in preparation of trial documents and trial binders. Additional responsibilities include case calendaring. Associate degree (AA) or ABA approved Paralegal Certification required. Open Position: Associate Attorney 

Poole Shaffery, a 25+ year AV rated civil litigation defense firm, seeks an associate attorney for our Santa Claritas office for a full time in-office position. Practice areas include the defense of toxic tort product liability matters; trucking /transportation cases and premises liability matters. This position includes responsibility for taking/defending depositions; propounding/responding to written discovery; preparing client status letters; drafting law and motion;  attending court appearances and mediation and trial preparation. These positions are open to new admittees to the California State bar and attorneys with up to 3 years’ experience. ABA Law School degree preferred.
