Bio

Lizel R. Cerezo is a partner with Poole & Shaffery, LLP, where she focuses on civil litigation, defending clients in transportation, premises liability and general liability matters. In addition, Ms. Cerezo has extensive experience in the defense of catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and public entity defense matters. Ms. Cerezo represents clients throughout the State of California, having tried several cases to verdict.

Ms. Cerezo obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Communications from San Francisco State University in 1999 and her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2002.

While in law school, Ms. Cerezo served as Judicial Extern to the Hon. James J. McBride in the Law and Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court, as well as the Hon. Elizabeth D. Laporte of the United States District Court, Northern District of California. Ms. Cerezo was a Certified Law Clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s office and the Office of the Chief Trial Counsel for the State Bar of California.

Ms. Cerezo is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

In her spare time, Ms. Cerezo is dedicated to volunteering in her local community and spending time with family and friends.
