Magana v. Mikey’s Transport LLC, et al. (San Francisco Super. Ct. No. CGC-20-585117): On February 18, 2021 a $7500 settlement was reached in a wrongful termination matter involving Mikey’s Transport LLC. Plaintiff John Magana alleged that he was wrongfully terminated after he reported compensation issues to his employer, Mikey’s Transport LLC. He filed suit alleging wrongful termination, fraud and violations of California Labor Code under the Private Attorney General’s act. Defendant denied the contentions, but agreed to settle the matter for $7500, and agreed to pay all aggrieved employees the amount of $1,875 for PAGA penalties. Defendant additionally agreed to pay $5,625 to the Labor & Workforce Development Agency. Plaintiff was represented by Hiller Law APC. Defendant was represented by Poole Shaffery & Koegle, LLP.
