$2.746 Million Verdict in Fresno County T-Bone Collision
Gaspar Carrizoza v. Sundip Singh Sangha, et al. (Fresno County Super No. 24CECG01530): On July 24, 2026, a jury returned a $2,746,479 verdict arising from a T-bone collision on Highway 41 in Fresno. Plaintiff Gaspar Carrizoza was traveling southbound with her three-year-old daughter, Alexa, when defendant Villanueva, while working for Sundip Singh Sangha dba Triple S Farms, pulled into plaintiffs’ path while attempting to cross the highway.
Carrizoza alleged cervical injuries that ultimately required a two-level discectomy and fusion. Defendants disputed causation and damages, maintaining that her cervical condition was degenerative and challenging the necessity and reasonableness of her treatment. Defendants denied liability until approximately 20 days before trial. Carrizoza had previously served a $890,000 CCP § 998 offer, which defendants rejected.
The jury awarded $2,735,317 to Carrizoza and $11,162 to Alexa. Plaintiffs were represented by Roger Law – Bonakdar Law Firm. Defendants were represented by Higgs, Fletcher & Mack LLP.
