Northern California Construction Company Agrees to $13.3 Million Settlement Over Injured Pedestrian
Newcomb v. Wahlund Construction (Humboldt County Super Ct. CV2301154):
On December 2, 2025 defendant Wahlund Construction agreed to the terms of a $13.3 million settlement to resolve the claims made by a pedestrian who was struck by a truck driven by an employee of the construction company. Plaintiff sustained catastrophic injuries including a fractured pelvis, fractured ankle and urological dysfunction. Liability was disputed as plaintiff admitted that he had used illicit drugs one prior to the collision.
