Gennifer Manzo, et al. v. McDonalds Restaurants of California Inc.: (USDC Eastern District No. 1:20-cv-01175-HBK): On January 20, 2022 defendant McDonalds Restaurants of California Inc. agreed to the terms of a $2 million settlement to resolve a class action wage and hour matter. Lead plaintiff Gennifer Manzo alleged that defendant failed to provide accurate accounting of itemized wage statements and failed to identify the respective rate and hours for payments. Defendant denied all allegations. In the settlement reached, defendant admitted no wrongdoing, but agreed to pay $2 million to settle the class members’ claims, and an additional $100,000 in penalties under the Private Attorneys General Act. Plaintiffs were represented by Diversity Law Group PC.
