Zachary J. Cavanagh
Bio
Zachary J. Cavanagh is an associate with Poole Shaffery, practicing civil defense litigation for clients in transportation, product liability, and general liability cases. Mr. Cavanagh also has a background in employment and labor law litigation across various industries.
Mr. Cavanagh graduated from the California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, with a bachelor’s degree in history, magna cum laude. Thereafter, Mr. Cavanagh earned his Juris Doctorate from the Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, graduating with certificates of excellence in mediation and negotiation.
During law school, Mr. Cavanagh served as the Competitions Chairperson for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Team and earned several first-place trophies for client advocacy in mediation and negotiation. In addition, he was selected to join the Moot Court Competition Team as an oralist and written-brief-editor for the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition. After winning the regional competition, Mr. Cavanagh traveled to Washington D.C. to compete in the national finals, placing fifth.
Prior to joining Poole Shaffery, Mr. Cavanagh worked as a law clerk then associate attorney for one of the Inland Empire’s most well-known plaintiff’s employment firms.
