Bio

Mario A. Gonzalez is an associate in the litigation group at Poole Shaffery . His practice comprises of defending entities and persons against general liability and product liability lawsuits.

Mr. Gonzalez immigrated with his parents from rural Mexico to California’s Central Valley as a young boy. Mr. Gonzalez came to Los Angeles to study at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his joint bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science in 2002.

Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Gonzalez had a successful career with a Fortune 500 Company. He started as a trainee and through the years rose to the ranks to Branch Manager for several years. After nearly ten years of dedicated and successful service in business, Mr. Gonzalez made the tough decision to pursue his dreams of becoming an attorney.

Nearly four years later Mr. Gonzalez received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Law in 2016 with a Concentration in Civil Litigation. While attending law school, Mr. Gonzalez volunteered to uphold the laws of the State of California and the City of Los Angeles as a Certified Law Clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. He also volunteered at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, zealously representing and defending the most vulnerable in our communities.

Prior to joining Poole Shaffery , Mr. Gonzalez practiced in the areas of Employment, Housing, and Personal Injury, particularly handling cases involving Wrongful Termination, Wrongful Death, and Negligence.

Mr. Gonzalez was admitted to the State Bar of California and United States District Court Central District of California in June of 2017. He is a member of the Mexican American Bar Association.
