FEATURED TRANSPORTATION VERDICT: Sanchez v. Avis Budget Group

(Los Angeles Super Ct. No. BC568846): On January 19, 2018 a jury reached a $5.2 million verdict on behalf of Karina Sanchez, and against defendant Avis Budget Group. Plaintiff, riding a bicycle at the time, alleged that she suffered physical injury after being struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe that was being negligently operated by an employee of Avis Budget Group. The jury attributed 20 percent fault to plaintiff Karen Sanchez, and 80 percent fault to Avis for the negligent actions of its employee. Plaintiff was represented by the Vartazarian Law firm. Defendant Avis was represented Gene Stone, Esq.
